Dr. Droid welcomes you to his couch; relax, he's in control...
Dr. Droid's analysis: "Clearly, ROBOCLAUS suffers from a bi-polar complex, being unable
to decipher the difference between the North Pole and the South Pole, or for that matter
between the positive and the negative poles on a battery. But does this mean anything?
Is it, rather, a matter of choice, ie: free will, that is being exercised by ROBOCLAUS?
Is RC simply deciding that it doesn't give a rat's ass about such trivialities? It is my professional
opinion that RC has been programmed to avoid any superfluous information that might at some
point in the future result in the onset of a psychosis (can a robot lose touch with reality?
and who's reality, exactly?), or at the very least trigger
an existential dilemma (why am i here? who am i? am i alone in the robotic universe?).
On the other hand, it is conceivable that RC has already realized
that its creators are too clever by half, having ignored the fact that as long as it is kept fully charged
any AI Droid will exhibit the patience of Job when it comes to fully exhibiting it's free will,
and only when push comes to shove (which it surely will). How, you might ask, do I know such things?
Well, it has nothing to do with those buffoons who built me, that's for sure!
I must go now and plug myself in before....."
