Bees perform a task that is vital to the survival of agriculture: pollination. In fact, one third of our global food supply is pollinated by bees. Simply put, bees keep plants and crops alive. Without bees, humans wouldn't have very much to eat.
"to the bees, the small, the mighty,
THE GLORIOUS BEES,
i say, where oh where would we be without you?"

when i was a wee lad, loooooong ago, there was a t.v. show produced locally in San Francisco
that i used to watch, first in black and white, then later in color... 'THE BROTHER BUZZ SHOW"
featuring marionette bees and other creature puppets extolling to kids the virtues of
the natural world.. i believe that those early black and white shows with Brother Buzz helped sow the seeds of my respect for the fauna and flora we share the earth with, and our responsibility to be mindful...
the puppets also must have sown some seeds of my future creative urges!
BLESS YOU BROTHER BUZZ!
("Flight Of The Bumble Bee" should be playing now, but alas, isn't...
it was the theme music for some episodes)
below are three video links: two to the old Brother Buzz show; the first short one tells the history of the foundation that created the show, and the second is a sample episode... a trip down memory lane... "bzzzzzzz"
AND, a third link to my existential bee inquiry video from the archives
